About the Role

The West Palm Beach office of Lippes Mathias LLP is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced paralegal in commercial litigation who possesses familiarity with commercial real estate foreclosure procedures. The ideal candidate with have a strong understanding of commercial litigation procedures, state and federal discovery rules, foreclosure processes, and real estate law. This role involves managing case files, preparing legal documents, conducting research, and coordinating with clients, courts, and other stakeholders.


What You'll Do

  • Assist in the formatting/drafting/filing/serving of pleadings and legal documents
  • Docket and monitor calendar(s) with Case Management, Trial, foreclosure deadlines and other critical deadlines
  • File legal documents with the State and Federal Electronic Court Filing Systems
  • Prepare, organize, and manage discovery and responsive documents
  • Prepare deposition summaries
  • Assist with case investigations
  • Create/maintain electronic directories
  • Create/maintain filing
  • Prepare and send out transmittal letters
  • Save, print, scan, and file all transmittal documents on each file
  • Delivery Requests when necessary

What We're Looking For

  • Associate's degree or paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred
  • 3+ years of relevant legal experience, preferably in Commercial Litigation 
  • Proficiency in Office365, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

Compensation

Salary range: $30-$38/hour.  This is a good-faith estimate for the position based on location and minimum criteria. Actual compensation may vary based on experience and other job-related factors as permitted by law.
