Where You'llWork

This is a hybrid role based in Denver, CO with the expectations to be in office at least 3 days a week for collaboration and connection.

As a Senior Software Engineer at Litera, you will play a key role in advancing the technology behind Kira, one of our flagship products used by legal professionals worldwide. This role is critical to delivering scalable, high-performing SaaS solutions that improve user experience, reliability, and platform innovation across a complex modern tech stack. You'll collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and product teams to shape the future of our platform while driving technical excellence and continuous improvement. Your work will directly influence product stability, system performance, and the speed at which we deliver value to customers.

What You'll Bring

Must-Haves:

  • Proven professional software development experience using Clojure or a similar Lisp-family language

  • Strong understanding of scalable SaaS application development and modern software architecture

  • Solid SQL and relational database experience, including PostgreSQL

  • Experience designing and building RESTful APIs

  • Knowledge of software testing methodologies and engineering best practices

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills within distributed, cross-functional teams

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience with ClojureScript

  • Familiarity with AWS, Docker, RabbitMQ, ElasticSearch, or similar technologies

  • Understanding of application security principles

Pay Transparency for Colorado Applicants

The base salary range for this role is $120,000 to $150,000 USD. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, education, and other relevant qualifications. This role is also eligible to participate in a company bonus plan. In addition to base salary, Litera offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) with company match, and incentive and recognition programs. Benefits are subject to eligibility requirements.
