Job description

Our practice is growing, and we have an immediate opening for a medical Front Office Specialist. The right candidate will have an energetic and positive personality. We need someone who can express a positive, compassionate, and upbeat tone on the telephone or even via text.
The best fit is for someone who has worked in a medical subspecialty environment, especially with a practice that performs in-office procedures. We need someone who demonstrates professionalism not only in their work effort, but in their ability to communicate complex information to patients in a way that is informative and compassionate. The right candidate will be someone who enjoys working in a team-oriented environment where everyone supports each other.
Our Front Office/Patient Communications Team schedules patient office visits, coordinates care for patients who require diagnostic testing, enters demographic and financial data into our software program, and helps with medical records. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys working directly with patients. A stable work history is required.
Responsibilities include:
  • Scheduling patients according to practice protocols
  • Patient Check-In and Check-Out including accurate demographic and financial data capture and entry into our software system.
  • Answering patient inquiries about our practice and its scope of care
  • Following up with patients who have contacted us to learn more about our practice and the services we provide.
  • Coordination of care with outside diagnostic testing facilities
  • On-site collection of co-payments, co-insurance, and/or balances due at the time of service.
  • High volume of outgoing follow up telephone calls
  • Bilingual a plus-Spanish
