Job description

Title: Regional Sales Associate

Location: Dallas, TX

Pay: $80k-$120k/year base + commission / bonus (DOE)

Shift: 2-3 days in office and 2-3 days a week traveling regionally

Overview:

Drives growth and maintains customer relationships within the Dallas region and surrounding markets on behalf of the Lipman Dallas facility. This role is responsible for prospecting new accounts, managing existing customers, executing regional sales strategies, and delivering on revenue, case, and margin targets. The Sales Representative operates with a high degree of independence in the field, spending up to 50% of working time traveling regionally to meet with customers, attend industry events, and identify new opportunities. The position reports to the Regional Sales Manager and requires a seasoned sales professional who can manage a complex territory with minimal supervision. This is a sales-focused role with no procurement or logistics responsibilities.

  • Sales Strategy Execution โ€“ Develop and execute regional sales plans aligned with company goals. Identify high-value prospects, understand the competitive landscape across the Dallas region and adjacent markets, and effectively position Lipman products to drive volume growth.
  • Account Management โ€“ Own a defined book of business including retailers, foodservice operators, distributors, and other trade customers. Maintain strong, long-term relationships through regular on-site visits, proactive communication, and consistent follow-through to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Prospecting and Pipeline Development โ€“ Continuously build and manage a pipeline of new business opportunities, including:
  • New accounts within the regional territory
  • Expanded product placements with existing customers
  • Conversion opportunities from competitive suppliers
  • Regional Travel โ€“ Travel up to 50% of the time within the assigned territory to conduct customer meetings, site visits, and prospecting calls. Plan and execute travel efficiently to maximize time in front of customers while meeting internal reporting requirements.
  • Sales Reporting and Forecasting โ€“ Track performance against case, revenue, and margin targets. Prepare accurate sales forecasts and activity reports for the Regional Sales Manager. Maintain up-to-date records in CRM or reporting tools as required.
  • Product Knowledge โ€“ Maintain deep knowledge of Lipmanโ€™s product portfolio, supply capabilities, and seasonal availability. Articulate product value clearly and tailor solutions to customer needs and purchasing cycles.
  • Trade Shows and Industry Events โ€“ Represent Lipman at regional and national trade shows, food industry events, and customer functions. Generate qualified leads and strengthen market presence through professional representation.
  • Budget Management โ€“ Operate within assigned sales and travel budgets. Exercise sound judgment in the use of company resources to achieve business objectives.
  • Market and Competitive Intelligence โ€“ Monitor regional market trends, pricing dynamics, customer preferences, and competitor activity. Provide timely intelligence to the Regional Sales Manager to inform strategy and pricing decisions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration โ€“ Partner with internal teams including operations, logistics, and marketing to support a seamless customer experience. Proactively communicate customer needs and market feedback to relevant departments.
  • Issue Resolution โ€“ Identify, escalate, and help resolve customer concerns, supply issues, or competitive threats in a timely manner. Serve as a dependable point of contact for customers when problems arise.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Minimum of 5-15 years of sales experience required; retail sales only will not be sufficient.

Food / Beverage sales experience preferred but not required.

Must be highly organized with the ability to manage a multi-account territory, prioritize effectively, and follow through independently

Valid driverโ€™s license and clean driving record required; reliable transportation for regional travel.
