Patient Service Specialist (PSS) Administrative Supervisor

Location: Southwest Oklahoma City, OK
Salary: $45,000.00


We are seeking an experienced Patient Service Specialist (PSS) Administrative Supervisor to lead the front office team of a busy medical clinic in Southwest Oklahoma City. This role is ideal for a healthcare professional with extensive medical office experience, a strong understanding of patient flow, and hands-on experience with revenue cycle management (RCM).


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, mentor, and support Patient Service Specialists (PSS) and front office staff.
  • Monitor front office and revenue cycle performance, identifying opportunities to improve workflow, patient satisfaction, and financial outcomes.
  • Oversee daily front office operations, including patient scheduling, check-in, check-out, and appointment coordination.
  • Ensure a positive patient experience by addressing questions, concerns, and service issues professionally and efficiently.
  • Oversee and support revenue cycle management activities, including insurance verification, prior authorizations, charge capture, claim submission, payment posting, collections, denial management, and reimbursement follow-up.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, clinic policies, payer guidelines, and healthcare regulations.
  • Assist leadership with staffing, scheduling, and operational planning to support clinic goals.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or management experience in a medical office, physician practice, or healthcare setting.
  • Previous experience as a Patient Service Specialist (PSS), Medical Receptionist, Medical Office Coordinator, or similar front office healthcare role is required.
  • Demonstrated experience with Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) is required, including insurance verification, prior authorizations, medical billing, claims processing, denial management, collections, and payment reconciliation.
  • Strong knowledge of medical office workflows, patient scheduling, insurance verification, authorizations, and patient registration.
  • Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) and practice management software.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a busy clinical environment.
