Position Title: Linux System Administrator
Location: Suffolk, VA (On-Site)
Clearance Requirements: Active Secret or above
Pay Rate: $40.00/hr
Position Description:
Join a dynamic team supporting critical training infrastructure in Suffolk, VA. As a Linux System Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the core infrastructure and data center operations for our Joint Training DevSecOps pipeline. This role offers the opportunity to work onsite and be part of a mission-driven environment, supporting the Deputy Directorate, Joint Training (DDJT). You will play a key role in ensuring system security, stability, and performance, collaborating with a dedicated team committed to excellence in federal government IT operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux server environments in a high-security data center.
Support and enhance the DevSecOps pipeline, ensuring seamless integration and deployment processes.
Implement security best practices and compliance standards for Linux systems.
Monitor system performance and apply updates or patches as needed.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and maintain system integrity.
Top Requirements:
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience managing Linux systems, preferably in government or enterprise environments.
  • Secret clearance and IAT Level II certification or higher (e.g., CCNA-Security, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP).
