Job Summary:
Vantor is forging the new frontier of spatial intelligence, helping decision makers and operators navigate what’s happening now and shape what’s coming next. The DevOps Engineer will support the development, integration, and operational deployment of mission-critical capabilities, focusing on Space Domain Awareness and national security space operations.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in deploying and maintaining Kubernetes environments (EKS, RKE).
• Implement infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support software integration and deployment.
• Integrate security and static code analysis tools into DevOps pipelines.
• Support deployments in cloud environments.
• Collaborate with software and systems engineers to automate testing and documentation workflows.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, and pipeline issues.
• Support configuration management and release processes for deployed systems.
• Monitor deployed applications and infrastructure to ensure reliability and performance.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Must have a current/active TS/SCI and be willing and able to pass a CI polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. Additional experience may substitute for a degree.
• 4+ years of relevant DevOps, infrastructure, or platform engineering experience.
• Experience with Git or other source control tools.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, and Ansible).
• Experience working with Linux systems (RedHat or Amazon Linux preferred).
• Familiarity with containerization technologies and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of cloud environments (AWS preferred).
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Must be able to travel 3 days out of the month.
Preferred:
• Security+ or similar IAT level 2 certification.
• Experience with Helm charts and Kubernetes application packaging.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Exposure to static analysis tools such as Fortify or SonarQube.
• Experience supporting applications in production environments.
• Knowledge of web services and SQL databases.
