Job Description
DMS is currently seeking Linux Cloud Engineers who will perform support to one of our military contracts. The Linux Cloud Engineer will help manage and design cloud-based solutions supporting 60+ developer groups employing cutting-edge technology stacks. The Linux Cloud Engineer will be tasked with implementing, managing, and optimizing Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers, while driving speed & capability enhancements for our warfighters.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Architecting & managing secure, high availability systems, adhering to industry standards and following best practices.
  • Manage RHEL servers connected to Azure Virtual Desktop solutions.
  • Developing scripts to automate tasks and deployments in a cloud environment.
  • Documenting systems and processes for capability growth and improved team collaboration.
  • Learning and adapting to new Azure cloud resources, with opportunities for formal training.

Basic Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizenship (no dual or Green Card/Permanent Resident Card).
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret-level Security Clearance.
  • 4+ years of experience in Azure and RHEL technologies.
  • Experience architecting & designing Azure-based solutions.
  • Understanding of network design & topologies including edge services.
  • Strong scripting proficiency (Bash/Terraform/Python).
  • Experience working with software development pipelines and Docker/Kubernetes (K8s) deployments.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills to work effectively with varied stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), RHEL, and/or Windows Server certification(s).
  • Proficient with Configuration Management techniques using Ansible.
  • Experience with managed Anti-virus tools like McAfee and Trellix ePolicy Orchestrator.
  • Familiarization with Secure Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) implementation.
  • Atlassian Tools Suite experience (Jira, Confluence, Bamboo and Bitbucket).
