Overview
The Link Crew Coordinator oversees Triton High School's freshman transition program. This includes organizing student leaders, planning orientation activities, and helping 9th-grade students feel connected and supported as they enter high school.
Key responsibilities
Program coordination
  • Plan and run the Link Crew program throughout the school year
  • Organize freshman orientation and transition events
  • Create a schedule of activities that support 9th-grade students

Student leadership
  • Recruit and select upperclassmen to serve as Link Leaders
  • Train student leaders in mentorship, communication, and leadership skills
  • Supervise and support leaders during events and activities

Freshman support
  • Help incoming students adjust academically and socially
  • Monitor how students are doing during the first year
  • Connect students with additional support when needed

Event planning
  • Coordinate orientation day, follow-up events, and small group meetings
  • Manage logistics such as space, materials, and communication
  • Work with staff to ensure events run smoothly

Collaboration & communication
  • Work with teachers, counselors, and administration
  • Communicate with families about orientation and transition supports
  • Promote the program within the school
