About the Position
ITS has an immediate opportunity for a strong, decisive leader to take ownership of our Asset-Lite division's After-Hours operation. The Division Manager - Night Operations is accountable for the leadership, growth, and operational success of the After-Hours division, serving as the senior point of contact and decision-maker for the division when daytime leadership is off the clock. Reporting to the Brokerage Division leadership, this position leads the division in operating, growing, and managing the entire book of business during the After-Hours shift, ensuring customers and carriers receive the same level of service overnight as they do during the day. Responsibilities include:
Day to Day Management:
  • Oversee operations for all teams in the division to the highest level of customer service.
  • Collaborate closely with all production teams to ensure excellence in operations and service.
  • Deploy resources to ensure all operations have appropriate staffing levels to meet customer demands.
  • Develop and implement internal/external facing SOPs and process checklists.
  • Develop and report on Key Performance Indicators for the After-Hours division.
  • Serve as the primary decision-maker for time-sensitive service failures, carrier issues, and customer escalations during the After Hours shift.
  • Serve as the key connective link between day and night teams - partnering with day-shift leadership at every shift change to ensure a seamless handoff of open issues, at-risk loads, priority accounts, and context so nothing falls through the cracks between shifts.
  • Ensure teams monitor real-time load status, tracking, and exceptions across the book of business to proactively resolve service failures before they impact customers.

Capacity Procurement & Management:
  • Enable the divisions to grow market share by securing volume, capacity and enabling access.
  • Build and maintain relationships with core and spot carriers to ensure reliable, compliant capacity is available around the clock.
  • Negotiate rates and manage margin performance on loads booked during the After-Hours shift.
  • Ensure capacity is properly vetted and requirements are met for all loads overseen by After-Hours.

Customer Growth:
  • Develop monthly business plans to forecast production, operations and impact to the bottom line.
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts and support new business onboarding during After-Hours coverage windows.
  • Partner with sales and account management teams to ensure customer commitments and SLAs are met throughout the night shift.

Leadership:
  • Ensure company culture, values, and expectations are upheld, while managing team dynamics.
  • Conduct performance reviews, coaching, and disciplinary actions for After-Hours team members.
  • Build a scalable staffing plan and succession pipeline to support the division's growth.
  • Own culture-building for the After-Hours shift, ensuring night teams feel as connected, informed, and engaged as their daytime counterparts.
  • Host regular department and leadership meetings for the After-Hours team, and cascade company updates, policy changes, and business priorities so night teams stay aligned with the broader organization.
  • Member of division leadership who influences and leads the Asset-Lite business to accomplish our goals.
  • Responsible for all hiring, onboarding, training, development and employee issues.
  • Proactively train and educate all team members, helping to develop and maintain team culture.

Performs other duties as assigned.
