Job description

Amee Bay, LLC, a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC, and a Federal Government Contractor industry leader, is seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Technician to join our team in Norfolk, VA.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Shipboard tag-out, WAF programs and applicable Naval procedures / instructions.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety practices.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, written technical instructions and manuals.

Position Requirements:
• US Citizenship.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain active Secret Security Clearance and Base Access; Candidates currently possessing an Active Secret Clearance are preferred.
• High School Diploma or
• GED. With Military "A" or "C" school(s), completion of a vocational, maritime, or journeyman training program.
• Display knowledge of maritime mechanical systems.
• Possess understanding of shipboard mechanical machinery equipment and systems such as main propulsion machinery, auxiliary machinery and hydraulics.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems components such as valves, bearings, gears, remote operators, couplings, system alignment, etc.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, written technical instructions and manuals, make red-line drawings, and design recommendations.
  • Three (3) years' experience in the development and updating of engineering operational procedures and diagrams utilizing ISODRAW and Adept Editor software (or equivalent) to incorporate required changes into existing operational procedures and diagrams for in-service ships and generate new operational procedures and diagrams for new acquisition ships in SGML and CGM formats (or equivalent) and conversion to PDF.

• Minimum of Six (6) years' experience including practical engineering experience which should include the operation, test, maintenance, and repair of naval ship Hull, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Ordnance equipment and systems.
• Pay is based on experience.
• Valid U.S. Driver's License.
• Must pass drug screening as a condition of employment.
• Candidates must furnish their own hand tools required for this position.
• Candidates must be willing to travel, CONUS & OCONUS at times.
Preferred skills:
• Ability to develop and update engineering operational procedures and diagrams utilizing ISODRAW and Adept Editor software (or equivalent)
• Prior military experience directly related to the position or prior experience in the Maritime Industry preferred.
• Knowledge of Shipboard Engineering Space Systems Engineering operational procedures (EOP), Engineering operational casualty control (EOCC), Master casualty response procedure (MCRP), Master emergency plant procedure (MEPP), & Other Operational Sequencing System.
• Knowledge of Shipboard electrical and electronic systems.
