The Line Cook at The Big Ketch is responsible for preparing and executing high-quality food in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen environment. This role requires strong attention to detail, urgency, consistency, cleanliness, and the ability to work collaboratively with both kitchen and front-of-house staff to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
Line Cooks are expected to uphold recipe standards, maintain food safety and sanitation procedures, and contribute to an organized and efficient kitchen operation during all service periods.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook menu items according to company recipes, specifications, and presentation standards
  • Properly set up and stock assigned stations before service
  • Maintain consistent food quality, portioning, and plate presentation
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department guidelines
  • Communicate effectively with chefs, managers, and team members during service
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout the shift
  • Execute ticket times efficiently while maintaining quality standards
  • Assist with prep work, stocking, rotation, and labeling of products
