Job description

Top Dawg Tavern is a family-owned and operated, full-service casual dining restaurant. Open 7 days a week, we offer lunch and dinner service, in a clean, family-friendly relaxed atmosphere. Founded in 2013, we now have 6 locations around the southeast in Georgia, South Carolina and Florida. We are looking to add additional Line Cooks to our back of house team! Experience is preferred, but not required! Bring a positive attitude and we can train you!
Line Cook is generally offered as full time or part time restaurant job. The ideal candidate can work 30 hours per week. Pay for this position starts at $15 hourly.
Prior experience in one or more of the following roles is highly desirable: line cook, prep cook, grill cook, fry cook, chef, restaurant crew member, restaurant team member or other part time BOH restaurant job.

Requirements/Responsibilities

Line Cook Responsibilities:
* Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
* Assist kitchen manager with daily tasks
* Prepare food to the exact specifications and to set up stations for menu
* Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, prepping meat, or preparing sauces)
* Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
* Answer, report and follow the managers instructions
* Clean up station and kitchen equipment
* Stock inventory appropriately
* Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
* Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
* Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Required Skills:
* Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook
* Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
* Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
