Job Description
Position Summary
The Night Auditor balances daily financial transactions, verifies guest accounts, and ensures accurate reporting for hotel operations. This role combines overnight front desk responsibilities with accounting duties, providing guest assistance while reconciling revenue, processing payments, and preparing financial reports for management. This position reports to the Front Office Manager.ย

Essential Job Functions
โขย ย ย Act as Front Desk Receptionist, Concierge and PBX Operator during this shiftย
โขย ย ย Assist with guest requests and any guest concerns or issuesย
โขย ย ย Run night audit daily processingย
โขย ย ย Notate and follow up on wakeup calls from the wakeup call sheetย
โขย ย ย Roll all expected arrivals and no shows to next day
โขย ย ย Post overnight parking chargesย
โขย ย ย Perform check in and check out dutiesย
โขย ย ย Compile and distribute house reports, including arrivals, departure and in-house reportย
โขย ย ย Sort and file daily receipts for all restaurant outletsย
โขย ย ย Make management aware of guestโs comments and complaintsย
โขย ย ย Answer incoming internal and external phone calls, as well as additional PBX (phone operator) duties as needed
โขย ย ย Other duties as assignedย
Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements
โขย ย ย Must be at least 18 years of ageย
โขย ย ย High School Diploma or high school equivalent required
โขย ย ย 1 year of customer/ guest experience preferredย
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities ย
โขย ย ย Basic industry terminology ย
โขย ย ย Familiar with hotel fire and safety procedures, assisting in emergency and security procedures as directed by management
โขย ย ย Knowledge of company policies and proceduresย
โขย ย ย Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to address guest inquiries and resolve concerns promptlyย
โขย ย ย Strong attention to detailย
โขย ย ย Active listening and interpersonal skills to personalize the guest experienceย
โขย ย ย Ability to act professional in a fast-paced environmentย
โขย ย ย Ability to understand written and verbal English
โขย ย ย Ability to work independently with minimal supervisionย
โขย ย ย Ability to work effectively in team settings, contributing positively to group dynamics
โขย ย ย Ability to demonstrate expertise in the technical aspect of the job ย ย
โขย ย ย Comply with all policies and procedures for the Front Desk department
โขย ย ย Complete tasks and projects delegated by your manager and assist other departments as business volumes and staff levels demand

Work Environment & Physical Demands
โขย ย ย Ability to stand, walk or be on your feet for extended periods of time, kneeling and bending may be required
โขย ย ย Regularly work indoors with no adverse conditions ย
โขย ย ย Must be able to occasionally lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance (weight limits can vary according to position, but no more than 50)
