Job description

.   PURPOSE OF POSITION
 
Identifies and cultivates potential customers for the Company's Fusion Splicer and Connectivity products and services. Maintains existing accounts to ensure that the customer's needs are satisfactorily fulfilled in a manner profitable to the Company.  Provide competitive information and market/product guidance.
 
II.  GENERAL FUNCTIONS/SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
 
  • Initiate contact and dialogue with potential customers of the company and acquire business.
 
  • Provide required support to existing accounts to maintain customers satisfaction with product and company.
 
  • Develop and present proposals and presentations to customers utilizing other company employees (engineering, Customer Service) time effectively and efficiently to achieve territory goals.
 
  • Facilitate two-way information flow between the company and customers to provide potential applications to customer and product management information to the Company.
 
  • Manage time expenditures and budgetary items for the sales territory to maximize benefit received.
 
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all customer interface; sales calls, correspondence, presentations, RFQ's/proposals, etc.,
 
  • Quarterly recommended sales objectives and forecast territory sales volumes by major account.
 
  • Analyze competitive product and competitors’ actions and recommend marketing strategies.
 
  • Participate in appropriate trade shows, exhibitions, etc. to effectively promote company products and services. 
 
  • Submit Weekly Activity Report highlighting customer contact and significant marketplace information.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
III. REQUIREMENT FOR POSITION:
 
Broad knowledge of an advanced technical or professional specialized discipline with 4-8 years of experience in the Enterprise/Premise industry. It is preferred that the Regional Sales Manager live in Texas.
 
 
OTHER SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE OR SKILL:
 
Need well developed communication skills, excellent presentation, inter-personal skills, ability to establish rapport with diverse mix of individuals (customers), skill at negotiating, "upbeat" outlook even at dismal times, resiliency against rejection, aggressive self-starter, high energy level.
