Make a lasting difference in someone’s life. We’re seeking kind, compassionate volunteers to provide comfort and connection to our patients and their families. All training and ongoing support are provided by our Volunteer Coordinator. All you need to bring is your heart.

Certified Pet Therapy Volunteers Needed

Do you have a certified pet therapy animal and want to share your time and compassion with others?

Certified therapy animals provide a healing presence to our end-of-life patients by reducing stress and anxiety and increasing feelings of joy, warmth, and connection.

All pet companions must be certified in pet therapy and have up-to-date immunizations and health records.

Requirements:

    • Must have a valid drivers license and automotive insurance, if traveling to make patient visits.
    • Successful completion of a background check is required.
    • Volunteers are not paid employees and do not receive compensation for their time.
    • Currently assisting individuals in the Chicago Western Suburbs.
