Lightbox Counselling and Psychotherapy Association is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) for a full-time remote position. In this essential role, you will provide high-quality psychotherapy services to clients facing a range of challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and life transitions. You will leverage your clinical expertise to deliver personalized care while working within a supportive and collaborative community health framework.

Work Environment

This is a completely remote position based out of Oak Park, California, allowing for a flexible work schedule tailored to your needs. You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of clinicians and community partners dedicated to improving client outcomes and providing comprehensive care. Our virtual infrastructure is designed to support your practice with state-of-the-art technology, including a secure electronic health record (EHR) system and telehealth platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Your daily activities will contribute significantly to clients’ therapeutic journeys. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting thorough intake evaluations to understand client needs and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to their specific circumstances.
  • Providing ongoing psychotherapy services, primarily focusing on individual therapy, while also having the option to work with couples and families, in alignment with your LPCC license and supervision where necessary.
  • Implementing evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and trauma-informed practices to facilitate client progress.
  • Maintaining comprehensive and up-to-date clinical documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring accurate records of treatment interventions and client interactions.
  • Participating in regular case consultations and team meetings to collaborate with colleagues, analyze case dynamics and share insights that enhance practice quality.
  • Coordinating care with external agencies including healthcare providers, educational institutions, and case management services when necessary, to facilitate comprehensive client support.
  • Upholding confidentiality and ethical standards as defined by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS), ensuring client trust and adherence to professional guidelines.

You will be working with clients who are diverse in demographics, including various age groups and cultural backgrounds, particularly those from underserved communities. Qualifications

To excel in this position, applicants must meet the following qualifications:

  • Currently hold an active LPCC license in the State of California, with a confirmable standing.

  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of clinical assessment methodologies, treatment planning processes, and therapeutic interventions.
  • Exhibit previous experience working with a variety of populations, particularly those from diverse, multicultural, and underserved backgrounds.

Compensation and Benefits
