Job description

Lift Supervisor 

Job Summary 
Anakeesta is seeking a responsible and guest-focused Lift Supervisor to lead and manage lift operations, ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all guests on our scenic lifts. This leadership role involves supervising lift operators, maintaining operational standards, and enforcing safety procedures while providing an exceptional guest experience. 

Your Responsibilities 

  • Supervise and support lift operators during all shifts. 

  • Ensure lifts are operated safely and efficiently at all times. 

  • Conduct daily inspections of lift equipment and report maintenance issues. 

  • Train new lift operators on safety protocols, operational procedures, and guest service expectations. 

  • Monitor guest flow, assist with boarding and unloading, and manage crowd control. 

  • Respond promptly to emergencies or operational issues and coordinate with management. 

  • Maintain accurate records of lift operations, incidents, and maintenance checks. 

  • Enforce all safety, company, and regulatory procedures, including federal and local lift operation standards. 

  • Provide excellent guest service, answer questions, and assist with guest concerns. 

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support mountain operations. 

What You Need 

  • Must be at least 18 years of age. 

  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred. 

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. 

  • Ability to follow and enforce detailed safety procedures. 

  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions. 

  • Ability to stand for long periods and work on uneven terrain. 

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally. 

  • Positive attitude, flexible, and team-oriented. 

  • Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and peak seasons. 

Physical Requirements 

  • Able to stand and walk for extended periods. 

  • Capable of lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying items up to 50 lbs. 

  • Comfortable working outdoors in hot, cold, or rainy conditions. 

  • Able to bend, crouch, reach, and climb as needed during operations. 

  • Must be able to safely lift, carry, and move materials independently and with team assistance when necessary. 

  • Ability to perform physical tasks including pushing, pulling, grasping, bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, and reaching overhead. 

  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, including on uneven surfaces and stairs. 

  • Ability to safely handle heavy, bulky, or awkward items using proper lifting techniques and assistance as needed. 

  • Capable of working in a physically demanding environment with frequent movement and manual labor activities.
