Job description

Job Summary: 

Operator will unload coils from the slitter and stage them in coil bay, the slit coils will then be loaded onto the mill turnstile as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Check for bad edges on mults coming from slitter.
  • Identify and mark coils in sequential order to be loaded onto the turnstile at the mill.
  • Transfer the coil sequence to mill order and distribute to the operators and QC.
  • Perform daily checklist for the Hyster 360, and turn in to supervisor.
  • Direct and assist in roll changes and set ups.
  • Assist in minor maintenance repairs.
  • Fill out necessary log sheets.
  • Turn in required repair lists.
  • Keep work area and equipment clean.
  • Maintain safe working conditions.

Minimum Education and/or Experience Requirements: 

Education: High School or equivalent

Years of Experience:  manufacturing experience is a plus.
