Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Charlotte, NC that is seeking an experienced Infrastructure PM to lead a portfolio of enterprise infrastructure initiatives focused on end-of-life (EOL) remediation, data center optimization, and infrastructure modernization efforts.
Responsibilities:
* Manage the full project lifecycle from project initiation through implementation and closure
* Lead a portfolio of approximately 15-20 concurrent infrastructure projects, typically ranging from 8-12 weeks in duration
* Drive project planning, scheduling, execution, risk mitigation, and stakeholder communication
* Coordinate cross-functional teams including infrastructure, networking, systems, server, operating system, and data center teams
* Identify project dependencies, risks, issues, and escalation paths to ensure successful delivery
* Maintain project documentation, schedules, action items, and reporting metrics
* Ensure projects are delivered within agreed-upon scope, timeline, budget, and quality expectations
* Support infrastructure modernization and remediation initiatives associated with end-of-life technologies and hardware
* Partner with technical teams to align project timelines with operational and business priorities
This role will support a variety of enterprise infrastructure initiatives, including:
* End-of-Life (EOL) remediation projects
* Physical server and hardware refreshes
* Windows operating system upgrades
* Red Hat Enterprise Linux upgrades
* Oracle Enterprise Linux upgrades
* Infrastructure migration initiatives
* Data center capacity optimization projects
* Enterprise infrastructure modernization efforts
* Server and platform lifecycle management programs
REQUIREMENTS:
* 3+ years of experience as a Project Manager leading IT or infrastructure-related projects
* Proven experience managing multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced enterprise environment
* Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices
* Excellent communication, organizational, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
* Experience developing and maintaining detailed project plans, schedules, status reports, and executive updates
* Ability to identify risks, manage dependencies, and drive projects to successful completion
Proficiency with:
* Microsoft Project
* Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUPs, COUNTIFs, data analysis, and reporting functions)
* Microsoft Word
* Microsoft Visio
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience managing enterprise infrastructure projects
* Experience supporting large-scale data center environments
* Familiarity with networking, server, operating system, and infrastructure technologies
* Experience working with infrastructure lifecycle management and end-of-life remediation programs
* Understanding of enterprise operating systems including Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), and Oracle Enterprise Linux (OEL)
* Experience supporting data center capacity planning, optimization, or migration initiatives
* Exposure to enterprise hardware refreshes, server migrations, or infrastructure modernization programs
The ideal candidate is a true Project Manager with proven experience driving project schedules, stakeholder communication, risk management, and execution. While hands-on technical troubleshooting is not required, candidates should possess enough infrastructure knowledge to effectively communicate with technical teams and understand project impacts across enterprise environments.
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
