Job description

Job Summary:
Candidates must have high energy, knowledge of the industry, and excellent customer service skills.
The Settlement Processor is responsible for pre-closing, coordinating with lenders, preparing closing statements, issuing title policies, preparation and recording of documents and making appropriate disbursements associated with the settlement and post-closing.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Review and clear title;
  • Identify underwriting concerns;
  • Prepare the Closing Disclosure when applicable;
  • Order bring downs and tax certifications;
  • Obtain conveyancing;
  • Prepare daily deposits;
  • Process incoming and outgoing recordings and letters of indemnity;
  • Other duties as required.

Minimum Requirements:
These specifications are general guidelines based on the minimum requirements. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Individual abilities may result in some deviation from these guidelines.
  • Must have college diploma or equivalent
  • Must have 2+ years title specific or similar experience
  • Have title industry software knowledge (Ramquest preferred)
  • Be a Notary or ability to obtain within 90 days
  • Be a licensed title agent or ability to become licensed within 90 days
  • Must be a quick learner, able to adapt easily to fast-paced, high volume environment
  • Above average people skills with strong customer support orientation is necessary
  • Ability to multi-task effectively, particularly in stressful situations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Intermediate level MS Office

Wage: $23.00 - $28.98 hourly; actual wage is based upon education and experience. Potential for formulary incentive plan, based on financial results.
