Job Summary
The Licensing Coordinator is responsible for managing all aspects of electrical licensing compliance for Loenbro. This role coordinates with state and local electrical licensing boards, verifies licensing requirements, maintains licensing records, and partners with Master Electricians, field leadership, and HR to ensure our workforce meets regulatory and contractual obligations. This is a detail-oriented, compliance-focused position that supports safe, legal project delivery companywide.
Essential Job Responsibilities
  • Maintain and manage company-wide licensing records for electricians, apprentices, and supervising personnel, track renewals, expirations, and continuing education requirements.
  • Verify state and local licensing requirements for current and prospective projects; interpret regulations to determine what licenses, registrations, or endorsements are required. I would align this with someone who has a higher level of authority
  • Communicate regularly with state and local electrical boards/authorities to confirm licensure status, submit required documents, and resolve discrepancies. I would align this with someone who has a higher level of authority.
  • Coordinate with HR and recruiting on candidate credential checks during hiring and onboarding to ensure required licenses are present before site assignment.
  • Partner with Master Electricians and field leadership to validate on-site personnel qualifications and address licensing gaps or corrective actions.
  • Maintain a centralized, auditable licensing database and produce regular compliance reports for operations leadership.
  • Manage renewal workflows: notify individuals of upcoming expirations, collect renewal documentation, and submit renewal or registration forms as needed.
  • Track and document continuing education or training hours; coordinate company-supported CE opportunities and reimbursements where applicable.
  • Support contract and project teams by confirming licensing compliance for subcontractors and vendor personnel.
  • Assist in developing and updating company policies and procedures related to licensing, credential verification, and regulatory compliance.
  • Respond to licensing-related audits, notices, or investigations and coordinate corrective action plans with legal or operations teams. I would align this with someone who has a higher level of authority.
  • Provide training and guidance to field staff and supervisors on licensure requirements, documentation standards, and best practices for staying compliant.

Other duties may be assigned as needed to support business operations.
Minimum Qualifications
Required:
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience in business administration, compliance, construction management, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in electrical licensing, credentialing, compliance, or administrative coordination; construction or trades industry experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with experience managing databases or tracking systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with government agencies, internal stakeholders, and employees.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with HRIS, LMS, or credentialing software is a plus.
  • High attention to detail, ability to prioritize multiple deadlines, and comfort working across field and office environments.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to occasionally travel to job sites or regulatory

Preferred:
  • Prior experience working with state electrical boards, trade licensing, or construction compliance.
  • Familiarity with electrical trade terminology and licensure types (Journeyman, Master Electrician, contractor registration).
  • Experience coordinating continuing education tracking and renewal workflows.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong partnerships with field leadership and HR.
