POSITION PURPOSE:
Under the supervision of a Licensed Therapist or Licensed Assistant, assists in providing therapy services to patients including medical records management, patient setup, and maintenance of department appearance. Adheres to MercyOne's performance expectations and performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Values of MercyOne.
POSITION PURPOSE:
Under the supervision of a Licensed Therapist or Licensed Assistant, assists in providing therapy services to patients including medical records management, patient setup, and maintenance of department appearance. Adheres to MercyOne's performance expectations and performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Values of MercyOne.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Assists therapist in providing care.
  • Communicates relevant patient information to therapist.
  • Maintains clean and safe working environment and equipment.
  • Provides organization for daily schedule of patients.
  • Based on principles of growth and development, provides care appropriate to the age-related needs of the patients served on his/her assigned unit.
  • Adheres to all safety, infection control and colleague health policies and procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School plus specialized training:
  • Completion of accredited CNA program, Rehab Aide course or degree in exercise field or current student in therapy, health, or exercise-related field.
  • Rehab Aide certificate and CNA mandatory for Long Term Care. State of Iowa Certified Nursing Assistant or Rehabilitation
  • Aide certificate preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-year patient care experience preferred.
  • Mandatory Reporter. BLS.
