What You'll Get to Do
The Estimator supports the estimating and preconstruction team by assisting with quantity takeoffs, pricing, bid preparation, and document review for architectural construction projects. This role is ideal for an early-career professional looking to develop strong technical, analytical, and construction knowledge within a fast-paced estimating environment.
  • Assist with quantity takeoffs from architectural and structural drawings (e.g., elevations, plans, sections, details)
  • Review architectural drawings, specifications, and addenda to identify scope requirements
  • Support preparation of conceptual, schematic, and detailed cost estimates
  • Help obtain and compare vendor, supplier, and subcontractor pricing
  • Enter quantities, pricing, and scope notes into estimating software and spreadsheets
  • Track revisions, RFIs, and drawing updates during the bid process
  • Assist with bid leveling, scope clarification, and proposal formatting
  • Maintain organized project files and estimating documentation
  • Collaborate with project managers, senior estimators, and sales teams
  • Participate in post-bid reviews and lessons learned

What We Are Looking For
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in construction, estimating, or related internship
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural blueprints and technical shop drawings.
  • Software Skills: Knowledge of Bluebeam Revu for digital take-offs and strong in Microsoft Excel for cost analysis.
  • Willingness to learn construction means, methods, and materials
