Join our team as a Certified Medical Assistant and play a key role in keeping our community thriving! Based in our Employee Health Clinic, you'll support both residents and team members-helping everyone stay safe, healthy, and cared for. You'll work closely with our Nurse Practitioner and Practice Administrator, providing clinical and administrative support while performing delegated medical assistant duties. How you will make an impact

  • Maintain schedules for employee visits and accurate information in employee medical records
  • Perform front desk receptionist responsibilities to include data entry, assisting customers as they enter Employee Health, filing and retrieving medical charts, and answering phones
  • Ensure the accuracy of registration, insurance verification, and coding, and charge entry into the electronic health record
  • Prepare employee for examination by the healthcare provider to include the following: recording vital signs including weight and BMI and preparing a patient (e.g., assisting with placing on a gown or exposing an affected area of the body for examination)
  • Perform blood draws and tests, vaccinations, and EKGs under the direction of the supervising clinician
  • Prepare reports for the Program Coordinator, and Medical Director, and Regional NP as requested regarding monthly utilization, co-pay, time in the clinic, and satisfaction summaries, as requested
  • Ensure lab compliance and with all required quality assurance measures by recording all required data in lab compliance binder including but not limited to: daily temperature log for refrigerators, documentation of all point of care and send out labs performed for each date, performance and documentation of lab controls for all point of care tests

What you will need

  • Knowledge of HIPAA
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook and basic Excel)
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program and valid certification
  • CPR certification is required
  • Current MA Certification is required
  • Phlebotomy certificate preferred
