LIBRARY PROGRAM COORDINATOR

The City of Coolidge is hiring for a Library Program Coordinator and looking for a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team. This position plays an essential role in coordinating and implementing programs offered through the City of Coolidge Library.Full-Time, FLSA Non-exempt position Salary: $48,355 - $72,532 annually Opening Date: Monday August 10, 2026 Recruitment #: CSL26-002Closing Date: Open until filled External PostingOpen until Filled Notice: This recruitment may be closed without notice when a sufficient number of applications have been received. First review will begin Friday September 4, 2026 and will occur every week as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONSMinimum
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D., and five (5) years public library experience, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Must possess a valid Arizona Driver's License
  • Must successfully complete a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Plans, organizes and promotes City library programs, activities, community outreach, and library tours.
  • Coordinates public library programs for children and adults; receives and implements program participant feedback.
  • Provides computer, Internet, database, and digital resource training to patrons and other staff.
  • Makes recommendations and coordinates the purchase of library books and materials.
  • Assists other library staff with other duties as assigned
  • Assists with circulation desk duties including checking books in and out, renewing books, processing late fines, issuing library cards, and shelving items as needed.
  • Assists patrons with accessing downloadable resources on electronic devices, reference questions, and reader's advisory.
  • Shelf-read items as assigned.
  • Responds to inquiries and complaints from library patrons.
  • Prepares statistical and other departmental reports in relation to library operations and use.
  • Provides back up assistance to other personnel as required
