JOB TITLE:
Work Study Office Aide - Ellbogen Center for Teaching and Learning
DEPARTMENT INFORMATION:
Ellbogen Center for Teaching and Learning
Job location: Coe Library, UW Campus
Pay rate or range: $12 per hour
JOB PURPOSE:
Assist the ECTL staff with general office duties
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Providing administrative and office support for the ECTL (making copies, organizing materials, and assisting with learning community preparation)
  • Creating and distributing program materials such as flyers, handouts, and posters
  • Assisting with preparing visual and written content for social media channels and website updates
  • Supporting short-term programs and projects by preparing materials and assisting with event logistics
  • Assist the Admin. Associate with front desk operations by greeting students, faculty, staff, and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • No prior experience is required. The ECTL will provide training for all job responsibilities and office procedures. Candidates should be dependable, professional, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.

Must be eligible, have received and accepted work study award through Student Financial Aid for the applicable semester and/or academic year.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn new skills and procedures.
