Job description

This is an on-call position with no regularly scheduled hours.
The Substitute Library Assistant supports circulation services, including:
  • Checking items in and out for patrons
  • Processing delivery boxes
  • Using the library's catalog and circulation software to assist patrons
  • Preparing exhibits and displays
  • Performing other duties as assigned

This position reports to the Head of Circulation Services.
This is a non-benefited position paying $24.80 per hour, with day, evening, and weekend shifts as needed.
An Associate's degree in liberal arts or a related field, or an equivalent combination of coursework and experience, is required. Candidates should have experience working with the public in a customer-service setting; library circulation experience is preferred. Strong computer skills and the ability to work well as part of a team are also required. Experience with Evergreen/Aspen ILS is preferred.
