Marketing Coordinator

Reports to the Director of Marketing


Position Summary

The Marketing Coordinator supports the planning, coordination, and execution of marketing initiatives that build brand awareness, support sales, and strengthen customer engagement across trade, digital, public relations, and customer-facing channels. Working collaboratively with Sales, Marketing, and external partners, this role coordinates projects, develops marketing materials, manages marketing assets, and executes programs that support the company's brand portfolio.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, creative, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This position provides support across brand marketing, digital marketing, public relations, sales support and creative development, while maintaining consistent brand standards.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Coordination

  • Coordinate marketing projects from concept through completion while ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Maintain marketing calendars, project timelines, and campaign schedules.
  • Coordinate point-of-sale (POS) sample requests and fulfillment.
  • Support department budget administration, invoice processing, and credit card reconciliation.
  • Coordinate with printers, agencies, photographers, and other outside vendors to ensure timely project completion.

Brand & Creative Support

  • Develop creative marketing copy including product descriptions, promotional messaging, and campaign content.
  • Write and maintain winery tasting notes and product information.
  • Develop of sales presentations, POS materials, digital assets, and customer-facing marketing collateral.
  • Proofread marketing, sales, website, and club communications for accuracy and brand consistency.
  • Maintain digital marketing assets, image libraries, and shared marketing resources.

Sales & Trade Marketing Support

  • Develop and update sales support materials, sell sheets, presentations, pricing guides, and distributor resources.
  • Assist with national on-premise and retail marketing initiatives.
  • Support POS inventory management and coordinate the ordering of printed marketing materials.

Digital Marketing

  • Create and maintain product information, SKUs, customer records, and related content within Commerce7.
  • Support digital retail marketing initiatives, including third-party ecommerce platforms.

Public Relations & Events

  • Coordinate wine competition entries, review submissions, and product sample shipments.
  • Support media requests, award announcements, and public relations activities.

General Administrative Support

  • Maintain organized marketing files, digital asset libraries, and department documentation.
  • Coordinate cross-functional projects between Marketing, Sales, Operations, and external partners.
  • Perform additional marketing, creative, and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Two or more years of experience in marketing coordination, brand marketing, sales support, communications, or a related role.
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and internal stakeholder requests.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate product and brand information.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, including PowerPoint or Google Slides.
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar creative software to develop and update marketing materials is preferred.
  • Experience with Commerce7, e-commerce platforms, digital asset management systems, or project management tools is preferred.
  • Wine, beverage alcohol, consumer packaged goods, hospitality, or lifestyle-brand experience is preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with sales teams, vendors, agencies, and cross-functional partners.
  • Interest in wine and the ability to learn the company’s brands, products, appellations, and portfolio positioning.
