Job description

Position: Full-Time Microsoft 365 Administrator / Security Analyst

We are seeking a Microsoft 365 Administrator / Security Analyst to help manage, secure, and expand our Microsoft 365 environment while developing and maturing our Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Intune, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Purview, and Microsoft Copilot capabilities.

The ideal candidate will be hands-on, security-minded, comfortable supporting users, and able to help us improve collaboration, endpoint management, identity security, and Microsoft 365 governance. Please note this job is fully on-site with no remote options. 

Key responsibilities

  • Administer Microsoft 365 services, including Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Exchange Online, and Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Configure and maintain Microsoft Teams policies, guest access, external access, meeting policies, and lifecycle governance.
  • Manage SharePoint Online sites, permissions, document libraries, sharing controls, and governance standards.
  • Support Microsoft Intune device enrollment, compliance policies, configuration profiles, app protection policies, and endpoint security settings.
  • Monitor Microsoft 365 security alerts, Secure Score recommendations, compliance findings, and security-related events.
  • Support Microsoft Purview features such as sensitivity labels, retention policies, DLP, audit, and eDiscovery basics.
  • Implement and maintain identity security controls, including MFA, Conditional Access, privileged access, and role-based access control.
  • Assist with Microsoft 365 Copilot readiness, including permission reviews, data governance, security controls, and user adoption.
  • Create documentation, standard operating procedures, and user guides.
  • Provide end-user support and training for Microsoft 365 applications and secure collaboration practices.
  • Use PowerShell and Microsoft Graph where appropriate for reporting, administration, and automation.

Required skills and experience

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 services, including Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Exchange Online, and Microsoft Entra ID, in an enterprise environment.
  • Experience with MFA, Conditional Access, identity security, and access management.
  • Experience with Microsoft Intune for Windows device management.
  • Understanding of Microsoft 365 governance, permissions, and retention policies.
  • Ability to troubleshoot user issues and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical staff.
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills.

Preferred skills

  • Experience with Microsoft 365 Copilot readiness or deployment.
  • Strong Experience managing and developing SharePoint Online and Teams
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 governance, security, and best practices.
  • Experience with Copilot Studio, Power Automate, or Power Platform.
  • Experience with Microsoft Purview, DLP, sensitivity labels, and eDiscovery.
  • PowerShell scripting experience.

Preferred certifications

  • Microsoft certifications in one or more of the following areas are considered an asset:
    • Microsoft 365 Administrator
    • Azure Administrator Associate
    • Microsoft 365 Identity and Services

Salary Range: $75,000 - $100,000
