Job description

Legal Billing and Collections Specialist
LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with a mid-sized law firm in need of an experienced Legal Billing and Collections Specialist to support attorneys, legal assistants, and clients throughout the billing process. This full-time, in-office role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with current law firm billing experience and exposure to electronic billing platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare, review, proofread, and distribute pre-bills and invoices.
• Submit invoices through client eBilling platforms and monitor for rejections, appeals, short pays, and payment issues.
• Set up and maintain client and matter information in billing systems.
• Review new matter, matter maintenance, and matter closure requests for accuracy.
• Support collections efforts and partner with attorneys, clients, and the accounting team to resolve billing questions.
• Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and supporting documentation as needed.
Qualifications:
• 2-3+ years of current law firm billing experience preferred, including eBilling exposure.
• Experience with legal accounting or billing systems; Elite or similar platforms preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
• Professional communication skills and ability to work closely with attorneys, legal assistants, clients, and accounting staff.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, learn new systems, and handle confidential information with discretion.
Compensation and Schedule:
• Salary range: $65,000-$80,000 annually, depending on experience.
• Full-time position.
• In-office work schedule, five days per week.
