Job Title: Mechanical Technician - Level 2 (Temp-to-Hire)
Location: Pendergrass, GA (Multi-Site Position)
Pay: $22.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Project Duration: 8-months
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Technician II to provide hands-on technical support for multiple customer locations in the Pendergrass, GA area, This is a customer-facing role that requires travel between sites within approximately a 100-mile radius.
The Mechanical Technician II will perform installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on electromechanical packaging and dispensing equipment while providing technical support and building strong customer relationships. This position offers the opportunity to transition into a permanent role based on performance and business needs.
Responsibilities

  • Perform on-site installation, maintenance, repair, and service of electromechanical packaging and dispensing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve customer equipment issues while maintaining ownership of service requests through completion.
  • Conduct product demonstrations when required.
  • Provide maintenance support and training to customer maintenance personnel.
  • Build relationships with customer contacts and gather feedback.
  • Read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals.
  • Provide technical guidance and expertise as needed.
  • Use iPads to complete work orders, communicate through email, and participate in Microsoft Teams meetings.
  • Accurately document service activities and research technical issues when necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma plus an Associate degree in a technology-related field (mechanical, electrical, electronics, etc.) or equivalent experience.
  • Mechanical experience is required.
  • Broad knowledge of mechanical hand tools and mechanical principles.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Comfortable using iPads for work orders, email, and team communication.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical individuals.
  • Ability to read and understand technical diagrams and manuals.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong problem-solving, auditing, and research skills.
  • Adaptable to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record. A company-owned or leased vehicle may be provided.
  • Willingness to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Must be able to travel between customer sites within approximately a 100-mile radius of Pendergrass, GA.
Physical Requirements
  • Lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Carry tools and parts weighing up to 20 lbs.
  • Carry up to 50 lbs. up to four flights of stairs.
  • Frequently stand, walk, bend, squat, and sit for extended periods.
  • Push or pull carts weighing up to 60 lbs.
