Job description

The Fountaingrove Club, located in Santa Rosa, CA, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Fitness Monitor! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fastpaced hospitality-focused property organization. As part ofTroon, you’ll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

We are a private club wanting to bring our members exceptional customer service, whether it is while they are visiting the pool, working out on the fitness floor, playing a round of golf, playing tennis, or eating at our restaurant. Making sure that members and their guests are checked in, answering phone calls, giving information for personal training, swim lessons, tennis lessons, and signing up members/guests for fitness classes. Maintaining our fitness floor, pool deck, tennis courts and all other areas of our property for cleanliness. Making sure our members/guests are following our club rules. Taking care of our opening and closing procedures set in place daily for our fitness area.

Essential Functions & Accountabilities:
  • Responsible for properly checking in all Members and their guests
  • Greet each member/guest with a smile and a friendly greeting
  • Book tennis court times, group fitness classes both in person and on the phone
  • Be courteous and polite on the telephone as well as face to face contact
  • Maintain positive relations and rapport with members and their guests
  • Be familiar with roles of all staff so that you can direct members/guests to the appropriate areas of the club
  • Listen to members inquiries and complaints and deal with them in a responsible and professional manner
  • Assist in cleaning and straightening of the fitness floor
  • Promote upcoming events and programs to members/guests
  • Know and enforce all the rules, policies, and procedures at the fitness center
  • Follow and complete all opening and closing procedures established at the fitness center
  • Empty towel bins and perform laundry per your shift daily


Pay range from $18.25 - $19.44
Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or General education degree (GED)
  • Previous customer service experience

Physical Demands:

  • Frequently stands and uses hands. Regularly lifts up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.

Environment/Noise:

  • Works in outdoor weather conditions. Noise level is moderate.
