Job description

Lehman College’s Leonard Lief Library is seeking an Adjunct Reference Librarian for Fall 2026.

Candidate will provide Reference service and research support to students in face-to-face and virtual situations. Time permitting – individuals may be requested to handle Instruction classes – as well as assist in supporting Library projects.

We seek incumbent with superb customer service skills and commitment to working in a dynamic, supportive multicultural environment.

Qualifications

Required: MLS from ALA-accredited program, expertise with wide range of Library databases

Preferred: Reference and Instructional experience in academic libraries and familiarity with CUNY – as well as proficiency with wide range of technologies, including LibAnswers, LibGuides, and MS Office

Schedule

Two days per week; daytime in-person hours (Tuesday and Wednesday preferred); hours for Instruction may be scheduled as needed

Hourly compensation based on PSC-CUNY Contract: $53.76–$60.98/hour based on qualifications and experience
