Job Title: ESL Instructor

Full-Time Position:  35 hours per week

(Russellville & Dardanelle)

Position Summary:
The ESL (English as a Second Language) Instructor is responsible for providing effective, engaging, and student-centered instruction to adult learners seeking to improve their English language skills. The instructor will deliver lessons in reading, writing, listening, and speaking while incorporating cultural and workforce readiness components. This role requires creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for a diverse group of learners with varying language proficiency levels and educational backgrounds.

Qualifications of Employment:

  • Bachelor's degree in TESOL, Education, English, or a related field.
  • Experience teaching ESL to adult learners or in a similar instructional role.
  • Proficiency in using educational software and digital tools for instruction.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in TESOL, Linguistics, Education, or a related field.
  • TESOL, TEFL, or ESL certification.
  • Experience with curriculum development and lesson planning for ESL programs.
  • Familiarity with adult education assessments such as TABE CLAS-E or CASAS.
  • Bilingual proficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Instructional Delivery:

  • Classroom Management:
    • Foster a respectful and inclusive classroom environment that supports active learning and collaboration.
