Both roles serve as stepping stones into the Lego industry but differ mainly in duration, responsibilities, and experience level.

To thrive as a Lego Graduate, you need a relevant university degree (such as business, engineering, or design), strong analytical skills, and a passion for creativity and innovation. Familiarity with project management tools, data analysis platforms, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are typically expected, along with any relevant internships or certifications. Excellent communication, teamwork, and adaptability are standout soft skills in this early-career role. These attributes are essential for contributing fresh ideas, collaborating across departments, and successfully navigating the dynamic environment of the Lego Group.

How hard is it to get hired by LEGO?

Getting hired as a LEGO Graduate typically requires a strong academic background, relevant skills, and a demonstrated interest in design, engineering, or business. The application process often involves multiple interview stages and assessments to evaluate technical abilities and cultural fit.

What degree do I need to work at LEGO?

To work as a LEGO Graduate, a relevant bachelor's degree in fields such as engineering, design, business, or technology is typically required. The specific degree may vary depending on the role, and strong skills in problem-solving, creativity, and teamwork are also important. Some positions may prefer or require advanced degrees or certifications related to the job function.

What are Lego Graduates?

Lego Graduates are individuals who participate in the LEGO Group's graduate programs, designed for recent university graduates. These programs offer structured learning, rotations across different business areas, and mentorship to help graduates develop professional skills and leadership abilities. Participants work on real projects and gain hands-on experience within the company, often in fields like engineering, marketing, or business management. Upon successful completion, many graduates transition to permanent positions within the LEGO Group.

Skills in design, engineering, and creativity are important, and familiarity with CAD software can be beneficial. Such roles often require a background in engineering, design, or related fields and may involve working in a collaborative environment.

What can a new Lego Graduate expect in terms of mentorship and project involvement during their first year?

As a Lego Graduate, you can expect to be paired with an experienced mentor who will guide you through your initial projects and help you acclimate to the company's collaborative culture. During your first year, you'll participate in rotational assignments across different teams, gaining hands-on experience in product design, innovation, or business development.
