AI Account Manager (Hike Intelligence)

Job description

About Hike Medical
Hike Medical is building the operating system for device-based care. We run the entire path that turns a prescription into a device on a patient's body - the back office that gets the patient ready, the point of care where they're evaluated, and the lab that makes the device. One company, built only for orthotics, prosthetics, and DME.
It's a $100B market, and more than half of every dollar never reaches a patient. It's lost to administration, denials, mispricing, and rework - while the person who needs the device waits. That gap is the business, and we built the machine that closes it, across three connected products:
  • Hike Intelligence - AI agents that run the revenue cycle, reading every faxed referral, verifying eligibility, chasing documents, and building audit-ready cases before a human touches a keyboard.
  • Hike Clinical - point-of-care software that lets a clinician evaluate a patient on any phone, generate a Medicare-compliant note, and order the device, all in a single visit.
  • Hike Lab - our own 3D-printing factory, turning a scan into a custom, PDAC-approved device shipped in days, not weeks.

Insoles are the wedge. DME is the bridge. Bionics is the destination. Read the full vision at bionics2040.com.
We've stealthily raised $22M through Seed and Series A, backed by top-tier investors who backed companies like OpenAI, Anduril, and Mercury early. We run a fast, results-first, high-ownership culture out of our new SF Rincon Hill office. If you want to work at the frontier of AI, manufacturing, and healthcare, this is the place.
The Opportunity
As an Account Manager, you own what happens after the close. Once an AE lands a provider, you make them successful-and then you make them bigger. You own a book of accounts and you're measured on adoption, retention, and expansion.
The growth story writes itself when you run it well: a practice that starts with custom inserts grows into more device categories, attaches Hike Intelligence to run their back office, and adds locations. Your job is to drive that ramp-turn early orders into scaled monthly volume, and a single product into the whole platform.
You'll:
  • Own onboarding and adoption. Get new accounts live, train clean scanning technique, and drive the first orders so the account feels value fast.
  • Grow the account. Expand from inserts into more categories, attach Hike Intelligence, and add new locations and providers. You're carrying an expansion number, not just a support queue.
  • Drive order volume. Move accounts past their ramp-from early orders to consistent, scaled monthly volume.
  • Own renewals. Run the annual renewal and protect the base. Retention is the foundation; expansion is the upside.
  • Be the voice of the customer. Feed product and operations the signal that makes the next account easier.
What Excites Us
Growing a book of clinical executives and clinic owners takes commercial instinct and operator credibility-not just a friendly check-in. We're not filling a seat-we're looking for legends who can grow a base. Specifically:
  • The strategic account owner. 2-4 years in account management, customer success, or expansion roles, ideally selling AI, software, or into healthcare, devices, or SaaS. You drive growth, not just satisfaction.
  • Commercial, not just relational. You're comfortable carrying an expansion and retention number, spotting the upsell, and asking for it.
  • Operator credibility. You can speak fluently about denials, reimbursement, and workflow, and become the trusted partner clinical executives and clinic owners call first.
  • Organized and proactive. You manage a full book without letting an at-risk account or an expansion signal slip through the cracks.
What You'll Own
  • A book of accounts. Net revenue retention and expansion across your portfolio.
  • Adoption and order volume. The ramp from first order to scaled monthly usage.
  • Renewals. Protecting and growing the base year over year.
What You'll Get
  • Competitive compensation. Strong base ($120K-$180K) + a $20K-$40K annual performance bonus ($140K-$220K OTE).
  • Meaningful equity. Real ownership in a high-growth startup backed by top VCs.
  • Accelerated growth. We reward A-players. Top performers move fast into senior and leadership roles-and are rewarded significantly for it.
  • Full benefits. Medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • $15K relocation bonus. If you're moving to San Francisco.
  • The hub. Daily collaboration with Hike's founding team out of our SF Rincon Hill office.
  • And yes-free custom insoles. Your feet will thank you.
