Job description

Kennedys, a global law firm with offices throughout the US, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Assistant join our San Francisco office. Our ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in insurance defense/coverage litigation and will assist attorneys with all aspects of litigation including discovery, court filings and trial preparation.
This is a hybrid position, requiring a minimum of 3 days on-site in our San Francisco office.
Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Drafting and Proofreading: Draft and proofread legal correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents with high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Calendaring: Manage the attorneys' calendar, scheduling appointments, court dates, and meetings efficiently.
  • Filing: Execute filing procedures, ensuring compliance with legal protocols and deadlines.

Required Experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in litigation, insurance coverage/defense a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Excellent organizational skills and exceptional proofreading skills and a meticulous eye for detail
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Thorough working knowledge of and experience working and filing within the Federal and California state court systems
  • Reliable with a strong work ethic and professional demeanor

The annualized salary range for this role is $85,000-$95,000. However, this is contingent upon level of experience, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
