Job Title: Litigation Legal Assistant Location: Seattle, Washington Schedule: Hybrid - 3 days on-site/2 remote after training period Salary: $59,000-$98,000 Employment Type: Direct Hire Job Description: LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a respected law firm in Seattle seeking an experienced Litigation Practice Assistant to support a busy litigation team. This role is ideal for a legal support professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage competing priorities with minimal supervision, and enjoys being a key operational partner to attorneys and internal teams. This position offers a mix of substantive legal support, administrative coordination, client interaction, billing assistance, and document management within an established litigation practice. Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, revise, proofread, format, file, and serve legal documents, including pleadings, correspondence, discovery materials, and court filings for state and federal matters
  • Manage attorney calendars, litigation deadlines, court dates, meetings, travel arrangements, and overall scheduling coordination
  • Support time entry, billing, prebills, invoice review, expense reporting, and resolution of billing-related questions
  • Maintain electronic and physical case files, organize litigation documents, prepare attorney notebooks, coordinate document production, and manage secure transmission of large files
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and internal departments regarding case logistics, signatures, scheduling, and document coordination
  • Open new matters, assist with conflict checks, maintain contact databases, and ensure accurate file and records management
  • Provide administrative support including phone coverage, meeting coordination, mail distribution, CLE tracking, expense approvals, and general practice group support
  • Collaborate with legal support staff and cross-functional teams to provide coverage, troubleshoot workflow issues, and ensure deadlines are consistently met
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of legal administrative or litigation support experience within a law firm environment
  • Prior experience supporting litigation attorneys, including familiarity with court procedures, filing requirements, and litigation deadlines
  • Strong document formatting, proofreading, and legal word processing skills, including redlining and document comparison
  • Experience with attorney billing, time entry, expense reporting, or accounting-related administrative functions preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with legal technology platforms and document management systems is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional client-service mindset
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
  • High attention to detail, strong follow-through, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively
