POSITION SUMMARY

The Paralegal at RAS LaVrar offers a uniquely experiential opportunity to immerse yourself in the day-to-day operations of a prestigious creditorsโ€™ rights law firm. Reporting to the Compliance/Managing Attorney, this role is designed for a well-organized, proactive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong desire to progress within our firm. By providing critical support in document organization and pleading preparation, the Paralegal ensures our attorneys are fully equipped to meet the rigorous demands of our high-volume practice while maintaining the firmโ€™s standards for accuracy and professionalism.

Responsibilities and Duties:

The following responsibilities are central to the role:

Litigation Support & Documentation

  • Trial Preparation: Systematically review and organize complex trial documents to ensure all evidence and materials are ready for court proceedings.
  • Pleading Production: Draft various legal pleadings and ensure they are accurately formatted and filed with the appropriate courts in a timely manner.
  • File Management: Maintain digital and physical case files, ensuring that all documentation is properly categorized and easily accessible for the litigation team.

Coordination & Communication

  • Court Liaison: Coordinate directly with attorneys and court staff to manage scheduling, filing updates, and procedural inquiries.
  • Collaborative Support: Work closely with a team-oriented group, adjusting priorities on short notice to meet urgent judicial deadlines or client requests.
  • Administrative Oversight: Perform other relevant duties as assigned by management to support the overall efficiency of the litigation support team.

Educational/ Experience Qualification:

  • Education: Applicants must possess a Paralegal Certification. While a Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Legal Studies or a related field is strongly preferred, an Associate of Science (A.S.) in Paralegal Studies is required.
  • Experience: Relevant legal experience may compensate for certain educational requirements. Some prior experience in a legal or banking environment is highly preferable.
