Risk and Compliance Support Specialist

Overview

This position serves Republic Business Credit which is a subsidiary of Renasant Bank. The Risk and Compliance Support Specialist will ensure risk management and compliance requirements are being met and the data relating to such requirements is being properly maintained and reported. This role will ensure client reviews, UCC's and due diligence is completed timely, and client reporting requirements are satisfied, organized and reviewed as required. The Risk and Compliance Support Specialist will facilitate the timely turn-around and maintenance of the various due diligence, Sarbanes-Oxley ("SOX"), compliance and exception reporting, as required. Each of the foregoing is to be done in compliance with the Credit Policy and How To Guide (collectively, the "Credit Standards").

Responsibilities
    Complete new client set-ups in Podio of various applications, in coordination with the Risk, Underwriting and Legal Management teams
  • Review, report and maintain existing client ongoing due diligence and search results, including Taxguard, CSC Debtor Tracking, etc. and report notable items to Risk and Compliance Administrator, Chief Risk Officer and the respective Client Services team
  • Record and maintain incoming due diligence search results (UCC, tax lien, judgment lien, bankruptcy, etc.), background checks and credit reporting, as required
  • Maintain the Lien Tracking Spreadsheet for each existing client
  • Maintain the UCC app, in coordination with the Legal Management team, to ensure priority security interests are maintained and UCC filings are continued, amended and terminated, as needed
  • Together with the Client Services team, ensure the maintenance of the Client Compliance Schedule, including submission of client financial statements, A/R agings, A/P agings, and any additional reporting identified by Client Services team or Credit Committee as being required for review on a routine basis
  • Report to the Risk Management team and respective Client Services team of upcoming financial packages becoming due and any financial packages, whether whole or in part, not received in a timely fashion, in accordance with the Client Compliance Schedule
  • Assist in gathering client information, due diligence results and credit reporting necessary to complete Client Reviews
  • Record reviewed/completed Client Reviews and maintain the Client Review schedule, ensuring past due Client Reviews are being reported to the Risk Management team and respective Client Services team
  • Maintain Client Visit schedule and ensure past due Client Visits are reported to the Risk Management Team and respect Client Services team
  • Assist the Risk and Compliance Administrator and Chief Risk Officer in maintaining data reported in the Risk Review Report
  • Support the Risk Management team in monitoring and maintaining the Third Party Management app for the vendors under its purview and ensuring the vendor contracts are reviewed and submitted for approval in a timely fashion
  • Support the Risk Management team as needed, including but not limited to compiling data and assisting in completing internal reporting and maintenance of all Podio records, risk management processes and compliance reporting, including facilitating RBC's submission to Renasant Bank ("RNST" or the "Bank") of timely Exception, Risk Rating, Risk Monitoring, SOX compliance reporting and other audit reporting, as needed
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's degree is preferred
  • Minimum of one (1) year of job related experience
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail
  • Communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and yet collaborate in a team environment
  • Advanced competency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Basic understanding of corporate financial statements and credit reporting is preferred

The hourly compensation rate for this role equates to an annual base salary ranging from $55,000-$67,500. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to, market location and may vary depending on job related knowledge, skills, education/training, and a candidate's work experience.
