ProMach is excited to welcome an experienced corporate attorney to join the team as Director, Global Legal Compliance. In this role, you will partner closely with the General Counsel and Associate General Counsel to build and lead a modern global compliance program. You will shape the function, work directly with senior leadership, and play a key role in protecting the business while supporting growth across international markets.
You will manage risk and ensure compliance with global laws and regulations across trade, privacy, ethics, and emerging areas such as AI. You will translate complex legal requirements into clear, practical actions for teams across the organization. This role includes a flexible reporting structure during the initial ramp-up period with close collaboration across legal leadership.
The preferred location for this role is Covington, KY. We welcome remote candidates and value flexibility. We prefer candidates located within reasonable distance for occasional in-person collaboration. We do not offer relocation for this position.
Job Duties:
Global Trade and Sanctions Compliance
  • Lead denied party screening, including investigation and resolution of screening matches

  • Build scalable screening processes and prepare for transition of daily activities to future legal support staff

  • Serve as the internal advisor on global trade compliance topics in partnership with outside counsel

  • Provide guidance on tariff classification and Harmonized Tariff Schedule issues

  • Ensure compliance with anti-corruption laws, including FCPA, and anti-boycott regulations

  • Design and implement fraud prevention and misconduct monitoring programs

Global Training and Legal Monitoring
  • Monitor global regulatory changes and assess business impact

  • Provide clear updates and recommendations to executive leadership

  • Design and deliver global compliance training programs across anti-corruption, sanctions, and export controls

  • Create role-based training for sales, HR, procurement, and operations teams

Ethics, Governance and Corporate Recordkeeping
  • Manage the company whistleblower hotline and lead internal investigations

  • Own and maintain the global Code of Conduct

  • Draft board resolutions, meeting minutes, and corporate governance documentation

  • Design and manage KYC and UBO processes with focus on simplification and scalability

  • Support entity management and corporate structuring

Intellectual Property and Acquisition Integration
  • Partner with outside counsel to manage trademarks, patents, and IP protection

  • Lead legal and compliance integration for newly acquired businesses

  • Align acquired entities with company policies, systems, and compliance standards

Enterprise Compliance and Risk Management
  • Manage global data privacy programs and cross-border data compliance

  • Develop and implement AI governance frameworks and usage guidelines

  • Support ESG initiatives, including supply chain compliance and third-party risk management

  • Partner with IT to strengthen cybersecurity governance and support incident response readiness

  • Support enterprise risk management efforts across corporate functions

Team Leadership
  • Define and document processes across compliance areas

  • Hire, train, and lead legal support resources as the function scales

  • Transition operational work to team members while maintaining oversight

Additional Role Details
  • Travel: Travel will vary based on business needs. Global training responsibilities will require some travel. Hiring leaders will discuss expectations during the interview process.

  • Team Structure: This role starts as an individual contributor role and will expand to include one or more direct reports as processes mature and scale.

Qualifications: Minimum required education, experience, and skills needed to perform the job.
  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in at least one US state

  • 8+ years of legal experience with focus on compliance, corporate, or regulatory law, including global or multi-jurisdictional environments

  • Strong business judgment and ability to partner effectively with non-legal stakeholders

  • Clear communication skills with ability to deliver training and influence across functions and leadership levels

  • Ability to translate complex legal and regulatory requirements into practical business actions

  • Proven ability to build, scale, and improve processes in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience managing outside counsel and supporting corporate governance and documentation needs

  • High level of integrity, sound judgment, and proactive approach to risk management
