This role is based at our corporate office in McLean, VA
This is your chance to be part of an in-house Legal team at a top global hospitality company! As a Manager, Legal Operations and Finance, you will support the team in guiding Hilton's legal activities to ensure maximum protection while engaging in global business and ensuring compliance with our legal obligations. On the Legal Operations team reporting to the Senior Director, Legal Operations, you will support projects including Financial Management, Budgeting, and Outside Counsel Management.
What you'll do during a typical day:
  • Build reports and analyze data from the eBilling and matter management system (TeamConnect), Financial System (Hyperion and Peoplesoft), and other relevant reports for the Legal department.
  • Analyze and present Legal's financial performance to Legal Leadership Team, identifying variances, key trends and business drivers that impact Legal's financial performance.
  • Assist Accounting team with month-end and quarter-end closing activities; in charge of the outside counsel accrual process and liaise with accounting and finance team to ensure a smooth and accurate accrual process.
  • Lead with vendors; Implement billing policies and resolve inquiries from Outside Counsel and other legal services vendors.
  • Assist with Legal's Global Panel Initiative Governance Program which includes developing program success criteria and metrics, implementing a formal firm evaluation form, tracking diversity targets, handling off-panel requests.

How you will collaborate with others:
  • Assist the Senior Director, Legal Operations and Senior Manager, Legal Operations with department initiatives as needed
  • Work closely with Accounting and Finance teams, and outside counsel with month-end and quarter-end closing activities and in various outside counsel management and reporting activities

What deliverables you will take ownership of:
  • Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial analysis and summary of legal spend
What It Takes to Make the Stay
You have these minimum qualifications:
  • Seven (7) years of work experience in Accounting, FP&A, Finance, or Legal Operations
  • You are a proficient user in Microsoft 365 Suite, including expertise in Microsoft Excel in building complex financial models

It would be useful if you have:
  • MBA
  • CPA
  • Experience leveraging AI tools to enhance Financial Analysis, reporting, forecasting, process automation, and business insights.
  • Budgeting and financial planning experience, or data analytics experience
  • Knowledge and experience with Law Firms or Legal Departments operations
  • Strong knowledge of eBilling, Matter management, Document Management

The pay range for this role is $85,000 - $120,000 and is determined based on applicable and specialized experience and location. Subject to plan terms and conditions, you will be eligible to participate in the Hilton Annual Incentive (Bonus) Plan, consistent with other team members at the same level and/or position within the Company.
