Legal Assistant
Job Description
Prestigious Multi-State full service creditor rights law firm, which strictly represents mortgage lenders and servicers, is seeking a Legal Assistant. The services our firm provides range from foreclosure, bankruptcy representation and evictions to REO closings and title insurance. Our office provides the highest quality representation available and continually strives to ensure our interests are aligned with those of our clients. Candidates must have working knowledge of computer applications including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, have excellent service orientation skills and strong attention to detail. Our firm maintains a collegial work environment with opportunities for training and professional development. This is a full-time, in-person position located in Boca Raton, FL.
Specific Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform comprehensive, loan-level desktop reviews of cases, based on predetermined Key Performance Indicators pertaining to the delivery of quality legal services
  • Review dockets, draft and upload chronologies to clients reflecting case status from referral through close instructions
  • Review invoices and request fees and costs through client system
  • Manage a portfolio of active files and complete daily tasks to ensure tasks are completed within clients' timelines and expectations
  • Ensure all internal systems are updated, to include findings, documentation, and recommendations
  • Exercise a high-degree of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Safeguard compliance with local, state, and federal foreclosure, bankruptcy and collections requirements (as applicable)

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Intermediate to advanced-level computer and general office skills; Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and through written electronic correspondence
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze corrective action opportunities and present recommendations

Required Education and Training:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Associate's Degree required
  • Basic principles of Quality Assurance and/or Quality Control strongly preferred
