What are the typical responsibilities of someone working in Legal Intake at a law firm?

Legal Intake professionals serve as the first point of contact between a law firm and potential clients, handling incoming inquiries, gathering preliminary case details, and determining eligibility for legal services. They are responsible for accurately recording information, assessing the urgency and nature of cases, and scheduling consultations with attorneys. This role often requires multitasking between phone calls, emails, and data entry while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. Legal Intake team members also collaborate closely with attorneys and support staff, ensuring that every case is properly documented and ready for review. Gaining experience in this position offers valuable insight into law firm operations and can provide a strong foundation for growth into other legal or administrative roles.

To excel as a Legal Intake professional, you need a strong grasp of legal terminology, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills, usually backed by some experience in a legal environment or client service role. What you get

  • Competitive hourly base pay
    • $49-58k base annually
  • Progressive bonus structure averaging $30k+ per year
  • The more qualified cases signed increases your earning opportunity
  • A team that moves fast, supports each other, and takes results seriously
  • Comprehensive benefit package
