Job description

About Luminance

Luminance is the pioneer of Contract Intelligence for enterprise. Backed by internationally renowned venture capital firms and named in both the Forbes AI 50 list of ‘Most Promising Private AI Companies in the World’ and Inc. 5000’s ‘Fastest Growing Companies in America’, Luminance is transforming how legal teams work around the world.

We are expanding rapidly across global markets and supporting enterprise customers in more than 60 countries, including AMD, National Grid, LG and DHL.

The opportunity

As a Legal Implementation Specialist, you take customers through to confident, independent use of the Luminance platform.

This is a high-throughput role. You will run several implementations concurrently, working alongside Customer Success Managers and cross-functional teams including Product to understand each customer’s objectives, configure the platform for defined use cases, deliver training and guide customers towards effective, scalable ways of working.

You will apply the delivery patterns the team has established - and help sharpen them. If you want to build deep expertise in legal technology, AI-enabled contracting and enterprise software delivery, this is the role that gives you the reps to do it.

What you’ll do

  • Develop deep working knowledge of the Luminance platform - its core functionality, configuration options and principal use cases
  • Lead customer discovery sessions to understand objectives, contracting processes, user requirements and implementation priorities
  • Translate those requirements into clear, scalable configurations, in line with established implementation standards and best practice
  • Manage a portfolio of concurrent implementations against agreed timelines, milestones and delivery outcomes
  • Deliver training sessions to key customer user groups, adapting to different roles and levels of technical confidence
  • Explain platform functionality, behaviour, trade-offs and limitations clearly and credibly
  • Guide customers towards recommended best practice, constructively redirecting requests that would create unnecessary complexity or reduce long-term value
  • Identify and escalate risks, dependencies and gaps early, with clear recommendations for resolution
  • Work with Customer Success, Product and Support to resolve issues and deliver a cohesive customer experience
  • Capture recurring customer needs and repeatable patterns, and feed them back into the team’s playbooks and delivery processes

What success looks like

  • Customers reach meaningful value quickly and use the platform confidently and independently
  • Implementations land against agreed milestones, with minimal avoidable rework
  • Requirements become effective configurations without unnecessary complexity
  • Risks and delivery issues surface early rather than late
  • What you learn on one implementation makes the next one faster

Requirements

What we’re looking for

  • Experience in a client-facing legal tech or B2B SaaS role - implementation, onboarding, professional services, delivery or customer success - and/or relevant legal experience
  • The ability to understand legal contracts, negotiation positions, approval processes and commerical workflows
  • Strong project management and organisational skills: several implementations at different stages, held accurately, in a fast-paced delivery environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to lead scoping sessions, project updates and training for legal, commercial and operational stakeholders
  • Sound judgement - the ability to distinguish a genuine customer requirement from a product limitation, and both from an opportunity to recommend a better approach
  • A proactive, self-directed and accountable working style, with the analytical ability to turn ambiguity into a clear course of action
  • The ability to learn complex software quickly and apply that knowledge across different customer scenarios
  • Experience crafting effective prompts for AI systems, or a demonstrable ability to develop this capability quickly
  • Genuine interest in the intersection of legal services, enterprise software and emerging AI technologies
  • An undergraduate degree at 2:1 level, a GPA of 3.5 or above, or an equivalent qualification

Desirable

  • An understanding of contract law and commercial agreements, or experience reviewing, negotiating or supporting the negotiation of contracts
  • Familiarity with contract lifecycle management, legal operations or legal technology
  • Experience implementing enterprise software within legal, procurement, compliance or commercial teams
  • Experience in a high-volume implementation, onboarding or professional-services environment

Additional details

  • Permanent, full-time
  • Customer-facing and implementation-focused, within our global Delivery Team
  • Clear progression through defined levels within the Legal Implementation function
  • Some travel may be required, depending on customer and business needs

Compensation - $80,000 per annum plus bonus.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive health insurance.
  • 401K with 4% matching contribution.
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity policies.
  • Learning and development budget.
  • Birthday leave.
  • 20 days PTO per year.
