Job description

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented File Clerk / Document Scanning Clerk to assist with a temporary records digitization project. This position will be responsible for organizing, preparing, and scanning physical documents into an electronic filing system.
The ideal candidate is organized, comfortable performing repetitive administrative tasks, and able to work independently while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare physical files and documents for scanning.
  • Scan paper records into an electronic document management system.
  • Review scanned documents for clarity, accuracy, and completeness.
  • Organize and properly label electronic files.
  • Maintain accurate filing and document organization.
  • Identify missing, incomplete, or improperly scanned documents.
  • Handle company records and confidential information appropriately.
  • Maintain an organized workspace and filing area.
  • Assist with other clerical or document-management duties as needed.
  • Meet daily and weekly document-scanning goals while maintaining accuracy.
Qualifications
  • Previous file clerk, document scanning, records management, data entry, or administrative experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn document-scanning/file-management systems.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately and efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling company records.

Work Schedule
This is a temporary contract assignment expected to last a few months. Scheduling is flexible within normal business hours, Monday through Friday, between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM. The position is limited to a maximum of 40 hours per week with no overtime.
