A legal associate is a practicing junior attorney at a law firm who works on cases for clients, conducts legal research, and provides legal advice to clients. Other job duties include developing and implementing litigation strategies, supervising legal assistants and paralegals, and representing clients in court. The qualifications you need for a career as a legal associate include a bachelor’s degree and then a law degree from an accredited law school, a license to practice law through your state’s bar association, at least one year of experience working in a law firm, and excellent communication and collaborative skills.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Associate Market Manager plays a key role in the overall management of all aspects of the Market. Job functions include retaining employees, managing risk, driving revenue growth, increasing profitability, maintaining a superior and consistent level of client service, developing cohesive teams, and providing consistent leadership. Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $150,000 and $160,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
