Job description

Are you an experienced Leave of Absence professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment? We’re partnering with a leading healthcare organization seeking a Leave of Absence Specialist to provide hands-on support managing complex leave cases while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. This role is ideal for someone who can step in quickly, exercise sound judgment, and deliver exceptional employee support throughout the leave process.


What You’ll Be Doing…

• Manage the full lifecycle of employee leaves, including FMLA, Washington Paid Family & Medical Leave (PFML), disability, workers' compensation, and return-to-work processes

• Serve as the primary point of contact for employees, managers, and third-party administrators regarding leave-related questions and case management

• Review documentation, determine leave eligibility, and ensure accurate tracking, documentation, and compliance with applicable regulations

• Coordinate accommodations and return-to-work plans while distinguishing between accommodation requests and leave requests

• Monitor shared HR inboxes and proactively manage leave cases through timely resolution

• Support HR systems, software implementations, and process improvements related to leave administration and case management


Here’s What Your Work History Needs to Show as Evidence That You’re the Right Candidate…

• 5+ years of hands-on leave administration experience in a high-volume environment

• Proven experience managing the full lifecycle of FMLA, WA PFML, disability, workers' compensation, and other leave programs

• Experience supporting HRIS or software implementations, system enhancements, or process improvement initiatives related to leave administration

• Strong knowledge of federal and state leave regulations and compliance requirements

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook; Workday or UKG experience is highly preferred

• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality


Additional Details

Location: Bellevue, WA (100% onsite)

Schedule: Monday–Friday

Pay Rate: $38.00–$44.00 per hour DOE

Employment Model: Temporary Assignment (approximately 6 months)
