Job description

The Sr. Learning Solutions Specialist designs and develops learning solutions that support enterprise initiatives, organizational change, and business performance. This role translates complex business needs into engaging learning experiences and performance support resources that prepare employees to successfully adopt new processes, systems, tools, and ways of working.
Working closely with business leaders, project teams, and subject matter experts, this individual assesses learning needs, recommends effective learning approaches, and develops scalable solutions that improve employee readiness and performance.
This is a highly autonomous individual contributor role requiring strong instructional design expertise, business acumen, project management skills, and the ability to independently lead multiple learning initiatives from discovery through implementation.
Key Responsibilities
Learning Solution Design & Development
  • Design and develop instructor-led, virtual, eLearning, and performance support resources that support enterprise initiatives and business transformation.
  • Translate complex business processes and operational workflows into engaging, learner-centered learning experiences.
  • Develop scalable, high-quality learning content using appropriate instructional strategies and learning modalities.
  • Partner with subject matter experts to gather content, validate accuracy, and ensure learning solutions meet business objectives.
  • Maintain consistency in instructional quality, branding, accessibility, and learner experience across all learning solutions.
  • Continuously enhance learning resources to ensure ongoing relevance and effectiveness.

Stakeholder Partnership & Learning Needs Analysis
  • Partner with business leaders, project teams, and subject matter experts to understand business goals, operational processes, and performance needs.
  • Conduct learning needs assessments and recommend effective learning strategies that support adoption and performance.
  • Translate business requirements into practical learning solutions and build strong partnerships across the organization.

Project Coordination & Execution
  • Manage multiple learning initiatives from planning through implementation, balancing priorities, timelines, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Coordinate reviews, feedback, approvals, and cross-functional contributors to ensure high-quality, on-time deliverables.
  • Identify and resolve project obstacles while maintaining momentum and quality.

Evaluation & Continuous Improvement
  • Evaluate learning effectiveness using stakeholder feedback, learner input, and business outcomes.
  • Update learning content as business processes evolve and identify opportunities to improve learning solutions, standards, and development practices.

Required
  • 5+ years of experience in learning and development, instructional design, organizational development, training, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and developing instructor-led, virtual, eLearning, and performance support solutions.
  • Experience supporting enterprise initiatives, organizational transformations, technology implementations, or process improvement efforts.
  • Strong instructional design skills and knowledge of adult learning principles.
  • Experience partnering with business leaders and subject matter experts to identify learning needs and develop effective solutions.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and exercise sound judgement.
  • Proactive and resourceful, with the ability to independently navigate challenges and deliver results.
  • Excellent project management, organization, communication, and stakeholder relationship skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality learning experiences.

Preferred
  • Experience in insurance, financial services, or a related industry.
  • Experience supporting enterprise technology implementations and/or organizational transformation initiatives.
  • Familiarity with enterprise business processes and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, value stream mapping).
  • Experience with learning management systems (LMS), eLearning authoring tools, and digital learning technologies.
  • Experience evaluating learning effectiveness and using data to improve learning solutions.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and innovation.
