Job Description
We're looking for aBusiness Systems Analyst for our Learning Management System (LMS) application and help desk team. You will play a critical role in writing application feature specifications, administering the system and handling complex Help Desk tickets. You will work with stakeholders, users, developers and training coordinators to ensure that our LMS is configured to meet new business needs and that bug fixes are made. We are looking for someone who has strong business and functional understanding of Learning Management Systems but also has some comfort level with defining and running reports. The Business Systems Analyst will help maintain and optimize our enterprise LMS, ensuring ongoing system administration, and providing user support through our help desk. This position is ideal for candidates with a strong analytical mindset and a passion for supporting organizational learning initiatives.
This position offers a hybrid schedule, blending in-person and virtual presence. You will have the flexibility to work from home one or more days per week.
This position will be filled at eitherlevel based on knowledge and related experience as assessed by the hiring team. Additional job responsibilities (outlined below) will be assigned if hired at the higher level.
You will
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze workflows, and recommend system enhancements.
  • Serve as a Product Owner for LMS features to gather requirements, analyze workflows, and recommend system enhancements.
  • Administer and configure the enterprise LMS, including user management, course setup, content uploads, and system updates.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for LMS-related inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and resolving user support tickets via the help desk.
  • Document processes, system configurations, and user guides to support training and onboarding.
  • Monitor system performance, conduct regular audits, and ensure data integrity and security.
  • Collaborate with IT and development teams on new features, bug fixes, integrations, and technical support.
  • Generate and analyze reports and system metrics.
  • Write test plans and conduct test cases for enhancements, new features and integrations within the LMS environment.
  • Provide training and support for end-users and administrators as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional job responsibilities, at the E01.3 level
  • Serve as a Product Owner for LMS features to create and maintain product roadmap and backlog based on business need.
  • Lead cross-functional process improvement project teams, gather and translate complex user requirements, deliver process streamlining methodologies, make recommendations for new system strategies, and communicate solutions to stakeholders.

Qualifications
  • Ability to secure and maintain a U.S. DOE Q-level security clearance which requires U.S. citizenship.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role, preferably with LMS administration or other enterprise business applications.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience with help desk ticketing systems and customer support.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience creating training materials and delivering end user training for system enhancements or new implementations.
  • Experience writing requirements, test plans and conducting test cases for system implementations, upgrades, or enhancements with proficiency in reporting tools to define and run reports.
  • Advanced communication skills andnegotiation skills to inform and influence team members and stakeholders.
  • Experience working effectively both independently and as a member of a team.

Additional qualifications, at the E01.3 level
  • Experience defining functional requirements for systems integration between enterprise applications.
  • Effective organization, project management skills with detail orientation necessary to manage multiple projects in dynamic environment while providing high level customer service and follow-through.

Qualifications We Desire
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies for software development and project management.
  • Familiarity with an enterprise LMS platform (e.g., Cornerstone, SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, Oracle, or custom built).
  • Experience as a Product Owner of an enterprise application

Pay Range
$95,820 - $140,712 Annually
$95,820- $117,312 Annually for the E01.2 level
$114,900 - $140,712 Annually for the E01.3 level
This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting; pay will not be below any applicable local minimum wage. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
